Day 13 - New Mercies

But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness. Lam 3:21-23

Every morning, the sun rises again. Even when heavy clouds obscure it from view, its light remains constant. In the same way, God’s love and mercy are always present, even when we struggle to see them. Yet how often do we look back, dwelling on the dark nights, the difficult moments, the regrets?

Jesus invites us to look forward. With every new day, He offers fresh grace and a new opportunity to grow in His love.

As women, we often feel the weight of expectations. Maybe you feel like your best years have passed, or that no matter how hard you try, you will never be everything to everyone. Maybe you’ve been pressured to build the perfect life, a thriving career, a beautiful family, a flawless image, only to find yourself exhausted by the pursuit of perfection that never arrives.

It’s easy to look back with regret on missed opportunities, on the ways you didn’t measure up in your youth, on time that feels wasted. But Jesus is not calling you to rewrite your past. He is asking to repent and turn towards Him.

Today, let gratitude rise in your heart. Instead of dwelling on what could have been, reflect on all He has done for you. Instead of fearing what’s ahead, trust in His faithfulness to carry you forward. And in this very moment, right where you are, in the midst of imperfection, surrender. His mercy is enough. His love is unwavering.
