Day 18 - Prayer

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. Mathew 6:6

Life as a woman can be a constant balancing ac, managing responsibilities, caring for others, and staying connected to the world through relationships, media, and daily demands. While these horizontal connections are important, the most essential connection is the one we cultivate with our Heavenly Father. Without prioritizing time with Him, we can easily become drained, distracted, and disconnected from the peace He offers.

Even Jesus, whose earthly ministry was filled with miracles, healing, and teaching, often withdrew to spend time in prayer with the Father.

We are called to more than just productivity; we are called to be set apart. Prayer is not simply about presenting requests to God, it is about worship, surrender, and being still before Him. When we intentionally step away from the noise of the world, its demands, distractions, and endless stream of information—we make space for God to refresh and realign our hearts. Time with Him changes us. It reminds us of our identity, renews our strength, and fills us with the peace that the world cannot offer.

A meaningful life is not measured by how much we accomplish but by how closely we walk with God. To know His will for our lives, our days, and even our next steps, we must listen to His voice. And that only happens when we create space to be with Him.

Today, consider how you can carve out moments of solitude with God. What distractions can you set aside to make room for prayer? How can you establish rhythms of connection with Him beyond your daily responsibilities? Allow God to meet you in the quiet, to see you in secret, and to pour His love, wisdom, and peace into your heart.
